I love old folk. They are wise and experienced in the ways of life and its mysteries. They are also the forgotten demographic when it comes to videogames. Just look at the shelves of your favourite games retailer: there is a manly melange of mature games, and a positive plethora for the prepubescent. But what about the elderly? What have they done to be ignored so in the market place for games?
Electronic entertainment would both stimulate their minds and exercise their ageing joints, yet release after release, platform after platform, their needs are completely shunned.
We posed this dilemma to our Rodents and YakYakkers, and they came up with some ideas of how the elderly could be tempted into the wonderful world of gaming.

Gold, pure gold! Don't forget to let it cool down a bit first though. Blow on it a bit. That's right, blow on it. A little harder. Ah. Now you stay right there, I'll go get you a towel…

Silver: EvilPaul suggests that this would work well as an online game with webcams... "No, wait! I saw him move!
DKTronics
Taking the bronze medal this week is DKTronics. Walking assistance has never been so much fun! I had a stroke just looking at this box-art - make of that what you will.
So well done to our podium-bound graphic manipulators, now lets see a handful of some of the other triumphant entrants. A jar of cod liver oil and a nice doily shall be awarded to you all.

Any other man in his mid-thirties that spends an inordinate amount of time amongst young boys would be treated as rather suspect, but Tony Hawk just keeps evading that register.

Ask anyone who's been in the London Marathon, and they'll tell you they've seen Jimmy Saville running. A fine ambassador for the tobacco lobby.

I'd love to have a ride on one of those. The vehicles in the picture also look like a lot of fun.
