  • Joker for me.

I *think* I know what the game is, but last game and I have a joker left
  • Joker for me as well, same reason as Mr. O.
  • All in. No idea what the game is yet mind.
  • Yep, throw me in as well
    (Schadenfreude)
  • Looking at the website, I have a joker left? If so, jot me down for one.
  • The website isn't up-to-date. Can't be 100% without checking back moggers so will add you to the list once I have!
  • Ah right. I have no idea if I've used three jokers or not then. Sorry!
  • Don't worry. I have an Excel sheet somewhere with it all listed!
  • Joker for me please.
  • I think I've got a joker left, so put me down please!
  • Teaser achievements added to the first post. As it's the last game of the season, and anyone with a Joker left would be mad not to play it, I've also included the titles of the achievements this time.
  • Anyone who wants to whisper me what they think the game is for confirmation, is more than welcome. When I say whisper, I mean send me a message, with this new fangled forum.
  • RE: 'Super massive black hole' image
    You filthy pup Spooky :)
  • I have no idea what you mean.

    ;)
  • I think I've a joker left. If I have, joker me up please Spooky
  • Does Twisted still have all 3 jokers left?
  • @Spooky Can you copy pasta the current standings into here from your all-knowing Excel sheet?
  • I need to fill in some scores and achievements first, so I'll update the website up to game 7 in the next few days.
  • Schad and Moggers. You've used up all your Jokers, sorry!
  • Right-o. Thought I might have.
  • I think Aidan's got one left, so obviously he'll play it if he has

I used all mine, and quite nicely, I might add.

    :-)
  • Schad and Moggers. You've used up all your Jokers, sorry!

Oops, sorry! I lost track of them :)

  • Final game of the season is - Juno First! A great shooter that borrows a lot from Defender in it's styling and sound effects, but plays very differently. Worth remembering you can move up and down the screen as well as left and right for this one!

    Settings (All default):
    Lives: 3
    Difficulty: Easiest (1)

    Previous high score: 278,450

Full details of all the achievements can be found on the website. Good luck!
  • Fantastic game - played this at the Arcade Barn recently.
  • Oooh... glad Aidan's using a Joker on this one, he's not bad at it!
  • Hey, this is a really good game.

76,870 for a first game punt
  • 51,800 for the first couple of goes this evening :)
  • A couple of good starting scores there chaps (and chapess).
  • 67,800 Just to get a score on the board, no where close to what I can do. Love this game.
  • 82,240 for starters. Fun game, this one.
  • If anyone clocks this game (a million points) I'll buy them a beer. :)
  • I got a quarter if that last time so it won't be me!
  • Fun game this. Managed to squeeze a quick blast in between the wedding prep!

    46,640.
  • Scores on the website have been updated. I've removed the links to personal pages from the overall leaderboard as they take an age to update and I'm not sure anyone actually looks at them anyway!
  • I did look at them, but I agree they'd take some time to update :-)
  • I did ask before we kicked off this season and most people didn't even realise they had personal pages! If I go for another season I might simplify the pages down to just the achievements perhaps?
  • or database the whole thing up magically like......

    :iknowiknow!:
  • @Rockwaldo: I'm guessing you could grab the info from an Excel file to populate a page from a database?

The other thing I considered is adding achievements earned to the homepage so everything is in one place. Small boxes under each achievement icon for each player perhaps?
  • 70,290 and Uprising.
  • Nicely done MrM. :)

I've used this in the past to do just that: http://code.google.com/p/php-excel-reader/

  • A bit more: 106,520 and Starlight.

It's a good 'un, this. Never played nor heard of it before.

EDIT: High-score table says it was only wave 9, not 10. So no Starlight for me.

  • Getting some gaming in before the big day, eh? ;)
  • Yep, seeing as how we're in a van on the way to Dorset, I think that's it for me. Unless this runs for a while.
  • Keeping with the tradition of the last few games I was going to run this for four weeks too.

I reckon the next season might see a game lasting a month at a time. Gives people longer to find the time to play and also gives me longer to playtest for achievements!
  • Good plan.
  • You not setting the MAME cab up in the corner of the reception?
  • Well at least I don't feel *quite* so bad about not getting an invite now.
  • A little bit of work on the homepage then, adding a cut-down version of players individual details on the right, at the same time creating the overall leaderboard. Will work on getting achievement details for each player into the main area so all the information can be found on a single page for the next challange! :)

  • 114,080, plus Uprising and Time Running Out
