Merry New Year!
By TT
It’s been a long year here at Rodent Towers. Who would have thought that we could continue to churn out top content month in, month out from our draughty little industrial unit here in Barnet?
Over the last twelve issues or so, we’ve tracked down and interviewed some of the industry’s brightest stars, many of them hailing from that there way off land, America. We tried our best to make Trip Hawkins cry, published the toilet habits of a serial world record holder, shared hot chilli sauce cocktails with world PacMan champ Bill Mitchell and even learned to love the intricacies of Walter Day’s view on the world. And here, in one final round up, they tell us their highlights of 2006, their hopes and dreams for next year and even drop in a festive message or two just for you, our doting readers. And all this whilst subliminally managing to self promote their current projects. The bloody cheapskates... Anyway, read on dear Rodents and live the American dream for one last time in 2006...

What videogame presents would you like Santa to bring you for Christmas this year?
Without question, the number one hot present this Xmas is the "Once Upon ATARI" DVD from Once Upon Atari. Ahem.
What was your videogame highlight of 2006?
Highlight of 2006 is the Wii system with the first kinetic controller. Will it go big time? We'll see, but it's one of the biggest innovations in computer gaming in a long time, in my opinion.
What's on your videogame wishlist for next year?
I want games that are played in real time in the real world with cell phones. RTRWI (Real Time Real World Interactive) games break out this year and introduce a whole new way to play. That's my wish, and I'm working on it.
Your Christmas message:
Sometimes life dares you to do incredible, outrageous or even ridiculous things, yet you know in your heart they are totally you. Most people ignore them. Next time ask yourself "Is this who I really want to be at least once in MY life?" If the answer is yes, DO IT! No matter what the consequences you will never regret it. Happy everything to everybody at WoTR, HSW.

Checking out the Wii once it is easier to buy one without re-enacting that Schwarzenegger movie, Jingle All The Way.

Merry Christmas to all at Rodent! May you stir your mouse and your joystick all through the house, clobbering your opponents but keeping your friends!
