"I'm slowly getting the hang of it - it's all to do with part-throttle and memory because although it randomises cars and AI when you first load a race, the race proceeds exactly the same, over and over, if you just restart or retry, and you drive approximately the same. Once you figure that out, it's down to remembering where and which side to overtake and nitrous, and backing off slightly going into corner, especially complex ones. And then battering your pad against the wall and calling the game a massive cunt when you slightly over-decelerate and the car behind slams you."
