"You know, when I try to imagine the person at D3 who comes up with the ideas for these games, I'm struck by this image of a Japanese man dressed as the Flower Arranging Gumby, frantically stuffing various different genres into a tiny vase and battering them with a mallet. "GET IN! GET IN!"..."

"ALL (and i mean ALL) films that Tom Hanks has been in after BIG are a travesty and should NEVER be watched under any circumstances. NONE.

This was discovered when i went to see Philla-crap-thia at the cinema and shat myself in pain at what i saw.

I vowed then to NEVER see a film that Tom Hanks is in EVER again, and i stand by that to this day.

Even though i quite fancied Road to Perdition, even though i was nearly forced into seeing Forest Gump a hundred times i have managed to keep this up, despite the fat twat being in a film every 3 months.

Join me.

you must."

Hello ladies

Complete set of back issues here

It’s been a busy month here in Rodent towers. Tony has been holding up the British end at the annual Funspot tournament over in the US, I’ve been selling my house (about cocking time), Bog’s leaving the country and, finally, Rodent Towers has become real.

It’s a wonder that we’ve got time to write really. Luckily for you, we managed to find ten minutes hidden down the back of the sofa to produce this months dose of the Original Spirit.

Alongside Tony’s report from Funspot, this month I go PSP mental as, after a year and a half, Sony’s great handheld hope finally begins to hit its stride. Perhaps not in the way that we hoped.

Elsewhere, both PaulEMoz and Deggy take a long look at their controller drawer and reach very different conclusions about the long-term prospects of the Nintendo Wii. Which is right? Only time will tell.

We also cast a critical eye over the pick of this month’s game releases. There are some real gems out there this month, tell the nice chap in HMV we sent you.

Cheers

Chris, Editor - July 2006
