why don’t you…?
Sometimes you just have to try out something a little different in order to put the magic back into your gaming relationship. Don’t snigger. It’s a perfectly natural thing to do.
Yes, some people can happily go through life playing the same game on the same console on the same telly while sitting in the same chair, night after night. Good luck to them. But the rest of us…
C’mon. You know you want to spice it up a bit, don’t you? But where to start? Perhaps some small change of location? If it’s not working in the living room, why not take it into the dining room? Mind you don’t scratch the table, though – it’s just been polished.
Or how about inventing your own games for a bit of private fun? If you enjoy it, you could even invite some close friends to join in.
Some of us have even been known to do it in front of crowds of total strangers. But you might want to check what your local by-laws have to say on that matter before jumping in at the deep end.

While we're chatting together all cosy-like, I'd like to direct you towards Ken Chaney's quite stunning classic arcade experience: the California Extreme show is into it's eighth year and features more games than you can shake a big stick at - all on freeeeee play. Book tickets now for the 7th and 8th of August. WotR may well be there, possibly floggin these (back in-stock soon folks...) like the whores we are.
Cheers then!

* WotR is edited most weeks by Andrew Lowe (Sickboy) and sometimes by Chris Ahchay (Ahchay) or Richard Hammond (Koworld), this week though we've been guest edited by Jim McCauley (Jedburgh) to whom I'd like to say a huge 'thanks'. All good stuff once again!
